Biographies

Burt Carey
Burt Carey has nearly 30 years of media experience and is entering his 14th year as editor of three Primedia publications; Rocky Mountain Game & Fish, California Game & Fish, and Washington-Oregon Game & Fish magazines, where he has purchased more than 3,400 magazine feature stories and 10,000 photographs from freelance writers and photographers. His byline has also appeared in Gun World, Bow & Arrow Hunting, Guns & Gear, Fishing & Boating Illustrated, and Mule Deer magazines, and on Cabelas.com.

A seven-year veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, Burt has had more than 1,200 articles and photographs published in military and international civilian publications, including Marines magazine, Stars & Stripes Pacific, Navy Times and Seoul Times. He has served in various staff positions on the Observation Post, Okinawa Marine, and the Camp Lejuene Globe newspapers. His military media work includes stints as a radio show host, development of training videos, and as Public Affairs bureau chief at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, and III Marine Amphibious Force Liaison, Subic Bay, Philippines. His memberships include the OWAA and NOWA.

Del Albright Del Albright
Del Albright, internationally published columnist and outdoor writer, has authored volumes over the last 25 years on land use, access, and outdoor recreation. He specializes in helping recreationists keep their public lands open to recreational opportunities. Del serves as a full time Four Wheel Drive Ambassador for the BlueRibbon Coalition, a national multiple-use recreation organization, as well as the Environmental Affairs Coordinator for the California Association of Four Wheel Drive Clubs. With a BS in Forestry and a Masters Degree in Environmental Planning, Del's writing covers a wide range of topics, from the scientific to the philosophical. According to some search engines, he is one of the most widely published writers on motorized recreation, land use and access. Del also built and maintains his own web site, which ranks at the top of the search engines world wide for land use and access.

His credits include: American Hunter; California Game & Fish Magazine; Fur-Fish-Game Magazine; Sand Sports Magazine; The Azimuth (Hummer); 4Wheel Drive & SUV Magazine; Sport Fishing Magazine; Fins & Feathers Magazine; Western Outdoors; and over 400 web sites, newsletters and enthusiast publications.
